Flemington Borough Police Patrolman Dustin Kydd, Det. Corey Garrabrant, and Patrolman Nick Saleeba responded to a report of an out-of-control man who had just left a business near Park Avenue and Court Street in Flemington on Wednesday, Sept. 21, the department said.
The officers then found Avery Freeman in the area, determined that he matched the description, and met with him, police said.
During questioning, Freeman spit on the officers and threatened to kill them, according to police.
Freeman, of Lambertville, was then arrested and charged with throwing bodily fluid and terroristic threats.
He was released pending an appearance in court.
